20 speeding Lamborghinis pulled over on freeway

When 20 speeding Lamborghinis make its way along a Georgia freeway, people are going to notice.

The Georgia State Patrol did pay attention, pulling the luxury sports vehicles over Thursday on I-16 in southeast Georgia, according to the Statesboro Herald.

The GSP was alerted to “20 Lamborghinis going over 100 miles per hour” on I-16, the newspaper reported.

So two GSP troopers in the Statesboro post drove to the interstate and waited.

Lamborghinis, manufactured in Italy, are among the most distinct and expensive vehicles. Some cost an estimated $200,000.

Soon, the Lamborghinis appeared, though they weren’t going 100 mph, according to the report.

“That’s not something you see every day,” Sgt. David Bryant said.

The troopers pulled them over onto the median.

The group, which included drivers from such places as Ohio, California and Vietnam, was headed to a charity car show in Florida.

The drivers got a lecture — but no tickets.

“We warned them about speeding and following too closely,” Bryant said.
