Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton declared Monday Beyonce Day.

Dayton issued a decree with an official seal. He posted a photo of the decree on Twitter.

"Beyonce's impact and success has been widely recognized," the document says. "Beyonce has influenced many young girls and women with powerful, positive messages in her songs."

Beyonce performed Monday night at TCF Bank Stadium in the Twin Cities as part of her "Formation" tour. It was her fourth time performing in the state.

Other than performing in the state, Beyonce has no particular relationship with the North Star State.

Minnesota-born artist Prince has never received an official day.
Dayton, who affiliates with the DFL party, has been governor of Minnesota since 2011.
