Deputies: Florida woman poses as Kia manager, begins firing employees

St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office

A Florida woman was arrested in Louisiana on Tuesday after deputies said she entered a Kia dealership, posed as a manager, and tried to fire employees.

Mila Ellis, 21, of Hialeah, Florida, entered the dealership in Covington, Louisiana around 9 a.m. and began to pretend to be a manager, telling employees they were fired, WGNO reports. Employees said Ellis was "acting erratic" and called authorities because they knew she wasn't a manager.

When deputies arrived, they asked her to leave and discovered that the Honda Accord she was driving was stolen from Broward County, Florida. Deputies said they tried to stop Ellis, but she put the car in reverse and almost hit one of the deputies before driving down the road.

She then rammed into two police vehicles before she crashed into a ditch, deputies added.

She was arrested and charged with aggravated criminal damage, aggravated flight from an officer, attempted murder of a police officer, possession of stolen property and disturbing the peace.
