Fake, racist hunting license sent by student on social media sparks outrage

NATRONA HEIGHTS, Pa. — A student sparked outrage after sending a photo of a fake, racist hunting license to several other students at a high school in Pennsylvania, school officials confirmed to WPXI.

The fake license had several offensive slurs targeted at black people on it and was circulated by an unidentified student through the popular social networking app SnapChat.

The superintendent and principal of Highlands High School in Natrona Heights called the incident unacceptable.

Several angry parents took to Facebook to express their feelings.

The fake license represented “the kind of hatred and that makes me sad," one parent wrote.

"This is so disgusting,” another parent said. “I am so sorry for everyone who had to deal with this."

District officials did not provide specific details about the consequences the student could face, but they said expulsion is possible.
