Florida man arrested after leaving 3 dogs in car at mall

A Florida man was arrested in Daytona Beach on Wednesday, charged with three counts of animal cruelty after three dogs were rescued from inside a hot car parked at a local mall.
The rescue happened while the pit bulls’ owner, Edgar Marcial, 27, was inside shopping at the Volusia Mall, police said.
Investigators said the dogs had been in the vehicle, which had a window slightly open, for at least an hour without any water in temperatures exceeding 103 degrees.

One dog appeared unconscious and another could barely stand, police said. Police said one of the dogs urinated on itself as soon as it was rescued.Daytona Beach police body camera video shows how a police officer became frustrated with Marcial's lack of compassion for his pets and complained to other officers on scene.

“He’s just like, ‘I just want my dogs back so I can (expletive) leave right now,’” the officer said.
Marcial was arrested and his dogs were taken to the Humane Society, where they are recovering.
