Talk about an unorthodox tipping method.

Police in Oregon said a man paid a prostitute to have sex with him by using money that he stole from a pet store and a Girl Scout donation jar, then tipped the prostitute with a small pet primate, the Eugene Register-Guard reported.

The Zany Zoo pet store in Eugene, Oregon, reported two burglaries in early March in which a laptop computer, Girl Scout cookie money and a Galago named Gooey were stolen, the Eugene Register-Guard reported. The small nocturnal primates, also called bush babies, are native to Africa.

An investigation found that the store's co-owner, Nathan Allen McClain was the burglar, according to authorities.

Police said the prostitute was interviewed by officers on March 17 and returned the animal to authorities. According to police, McClain paid the prostitute for sex using the stolen $7,000, including money from the Girl Scouts, and tipped her by giving her Gooey.

He was arrested two days late when officers saw him leaving a pornography store under the influence of methamphetamine, Fox News reported.

Police said McClain was released from jail, but was interviewed by detectives again on March 21 about the burglaries at the store and appeared to be under the influence of meth during the interview. McClain’s wife has stripped his name from the store and associated bank accounts, Fox News said.

McClain was arrested April 14 and charged with soliciting a prostitute Gooey was returned safely to the pet store.
