Merchandise is available, social media is buzzing and some supporters are already clad in “Deplorables” T-shirts, embracing the label Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton used in a speech last week.
Clinton remarked: "You can put half of Trump supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right? Racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic, you name it." Georgia lawmaker Newt Gingrich hosted a town hall at Kennesaw State University on Monday, where Darcy Butkus, Becky Love and Kathy Potts were in attendance wearing black T-shirts with the word "Deplorables" emblazoned across the front.
Website Etsy offers myriad "Deplorables" products including coffee mugs, hats and T-shirts.
