This just in: if you went to a Spice Girls concert in the 1990s, you never heard Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham singing.

That’s right, the former Spice Girl dropped a truth bomb on us all when she revealed that her microphone was turned off during their concerts.

“They used to turn it off and just let the others sing,” she said during an interview at the Vogue 100: A Century of Style exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in London. “I got the last laugh — and now my mic is well and truly on, finally.”

Beckham always cared more for the fashion and less about the singing. That fact was clear in “Spice World,” the Spice Girls’ 1997 feature film. In the movie, Mel C jokes that Beckham always had trouble choosing between the “little Gucci dress, the little Gucci dress or the little Gucci dress.”

“I was always the one that loved fashion and it was quite a result for me because the girls always used to get their clothes for free because they were crap and so there was a lot of budget for me to have my little Gucci dress,” she revealed.

Beckham dropped more than one shocker during the interview that evening. The original dress she wore had no label at all.

“The first dress that I wore in the Spice Girls, which everybody thought was a little black Gucci dress, was actually from Miss Selfridge – it wasn’t a little back Gucci dress,” she admitted.
