Trips on a tank full: Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach has something for everyone, whether you’re planning a family vacation or a relaxing weekend getaway.

Visitors have a range of accommodation options at the beach, from oceanfront resorts along the Grand Strand to condos and beach home rentals in North and South Myrtle Beach. The city boasts more than 400 hotels.

The city, which is just under a four-hour drive from Charlotte, offers 60 miles of sandy beaches, amusement and water parks, golf courses, fishing, shopping, dining and live entertainment theaters.

Attractions like Ripley's Aquarium, area water parks and a children’s museum make for fun family activities, while well-groomed golf courses, freshwater, ocean and deep sea saltwater fishing and water sports are just a few of the active attractions the area offers.

Those looking to shop and dine while vacationing have plenty of choices.  Shoppers can take their pick from outlets, specialty shops, malls, boardwalk shops and flea markets, and dining options range from fresh seafood to steakhouses.
