Warm temperatures to continue, chance of rain for weekend

CHARLOTTE — Spring is in high-gear in the Carolinas with plenty of sunshine, warm temperatures and low humidity.

A weak cold front will head toward Charlotte Tuesday night, bringing in low clouds from Charlotte north and east. There will be no rain.

The front will move north Wednesday. High temperatures this week have been in the mid to upper 80s, above 10 degrees above average. The viewing area will probably not reach record temperatures in the low 90s.

A front will move in as we head into the weekend. This will bring more clouds and some shower. There is a 20 percent chance of rain Saturday and Mother's Day Sunday with cooler temperatures. The forecast for this weekend could change, follow WSOC Weather on Twitter or like its Facebook page.
