CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
The steady rain from overnight has dried up, but another round of showers and a few thunderstorms are likely on Wednesday afternoon, said Severe Weather Center 9 meteorologist Keith Monday.
The biggest storm threat Wednesday will be heavy rainfall.
Minor flooding of streets is likely with any of the bigger downpours later in the day, which may come just in time for the afternoon commute.
Much drier weather returns late Wednesday and is expected to lead into a great stretch of weather heading into the weekend.
