Chargers Sign Long Snapper Binn To Four-Year Deal

POSTED: 1:29 am EDT May 13, 2008

(Sports Network) - The San Diego Chargers signed long snapper David Binn to a new four-year contract Monday that will keep him with the team through 2011.

The 36-year-old Binn, entering his 15th NFL season, is the Chargers' all-time leader in games played.

"David has been a true professional and a master of his craft for many years," Chargers general manager A.J. Smith said. "We are all pleased that he will continue on with the Chargers for years to come."

Renowned for his quick and accurate snaps, Binn was selected to the AFC Pro Bowl squad after the 2007 season. He has played in 223 regular season games, missing just one contest in 14 years. He's played in 151 consecutive regular season and postseason games dating back to 1998.
