Hurricanes Bring Back Babchuk

Raleigh, NC -- (Sports Network) - The Carolina Hurricanes agreed to terms with defenseman Anton Babchuk on a one-year contract Tuesday.Babchuk, who spent last season in the Russian Superliga with Avangard Omsk, is slated to make $1 million in 2008-09. The 24-year-old last played in the NHL two seasons ago, registering a pair of goals and 14 points in 52 games for the Hurricanes. Babchuk has notched seven goals and 26 points in 96 career games over three seasons with Chicago and Carolina.
