Dallas, TX -- (Sports Network) - Andrew Ladd's shootout goal carried the Chicago Blackhawks to a 4-3 preseason win over the Dallas Stars. Kevyn Adams tied the game for the Blackhawks with 1:36 remaining in regulation. Aaron Johnson and Kris Versteeg also scored in regulation for Chicago, while Antti Niemi made 35 saves. Brad Richards, Fabian Brunnstrom and James Neal had second-period goals for Dallas. Marty Turco stopped 19 shots in defeat.
