A new study revealed that some Hannah Montana merchandise may contain high levels of lead.

The Center for Environmental Health purchased 28 Hannah Montana products from major retail and online stores. The center said of the 28 items tested, nine had very high levels of lead content.

The Center tested a number of items, including the Girls Rock Backpack and a Secret Star wallet -- both items came back positive for lead content of 1,800 parts per million to 8,300 parts per million. The federal standard for lead in paint is only 600 parts per million.

Although many toys have been recalled in the past year for lead content, none of the Hannah Montana products in question have been pulled off shelves.

Disney officials deny any of their products have lead content above the governmental standards.

The Center for Environmental Health said they recommend parents buy a home testing kit to test toys for lead, but the center said those tests do not tell you how much lead is in those products.
