Mecklenburg County
Scattered showers continue this afternoon but the activity does stay simply a cold rain. A little high country snowfall will pick up again late this afternoon and tonight. Once the moisture moves out this evening (after leaving behind less than a half inch of rain), the colder air returns. On strong northwest winds tomorrow, we will be lucky to get above the upper 30s. At least the sunshine is back tomorrow and we will need it because the chilly air will last all week. This winter continues to march toward the record books as one of the coldest in Charlotte history!
Today: Scattered showers move in through the day. Highs top out near 40 degrees. Rainfall total of less than a half inch.
