Sponsored: Golf with Braylon Beam, celebrities to fight childhood cancer

On Monday, Oct. 24, Charlotte area golfers will get a chance to compete with celebrity players and donate to stop childhood cancer in the Braylon Beam Celebrity Golf Classic at Trump National Golf Course, with all proceeds going to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The tournament is named after the inspirational Braylon Beam, the 7 year-old brain cancer patient from North Carolina who came to fame on the Ellen DeGeneres Show with his #JustKeepDancing campaign to help other children battling pediatric cancer.

Beam, an enormous Carolina Panther's fan, became a Panther coach for a day through the Make-A-Wish Foundation and was able to join his favorite team at the Super Bowl in a private jet, a gift presented to Braylon and his family on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. "Coach" Beam and the efforts of his family and well-wishers at the Bring It 4 Braylon Foundation have brought awareness and support to the children and families struggling with pediatric cancer.

"Braylon is a tremendous inspiration to children and families coping with cancer and was the natural namesake for this event to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which works tirelessly to find a cure for childhood cancer," said Matt Phillips, Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer of AdvantaClean. "We are so excited to host this event as part of our effort to raise $100,000 for St. Jude this year."

The roster of local celebrities participating in the Braylon Beam Celebrity Golf Classic grows as NASCAR driver Kasey Kahne joins NBC Sports NASCAR Pit Reporter Marty Snider, former Carolina Panther Rod Smith, former Clemson Tiger and Buffalo Bill Perry Tuttle and former Tampa Bay Buccaneer Tommy Barnhardt for this great event.

Registration has been extended to Oct. 17. To sign up as a golfer, visit https://www.golfsquid.com/event.cfm?id=2820. Event sponsors can register at http://advantacleangolfclassic.com/sponsorship/.
