OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

January 25, 2008 - November 16, 2008

Anyone eighteen (18) years of age or older who is a resident of North or South Carolina may enter for a chance to win one of 5 guaranteed weekly prize packages (weeks will correspond with the official 2008 Sprint Cup season, February – November, 2008). A prize includes: free oil change from Young Ford (ARV $20). For each 2008 Sprint Cup race won by a Ford driver, one Ford racing prize pack (t-shirt & cap) will be added to the weekly prize pool. Total minimum ARV for all prizes is $4,000. Drawings for weekly prizes will be conducted on the Monday following the last race of each month in the 2008 Sprint Cup season (February – November). The quantity of monthly winners will be dependant upon the number of official Sprint Cup races held in that particular month and the number of winning Ford drivers. (February – 2 races, March – 4 races, April – 3 races, May – 3 races, June – 5 races, July - 3 races, August – 5 races, September – 4 races, October – 4 races, November – 3 races). In addition one entrant drawn from all entries will receive a chance to win a 2008 Ford Focus automobile from Young Ford as follows: If Ford drivers* combine to win 18 or more races during the Sprint Cup season (out of 36 official Sprint Cup races, will not include the Sprint All-Star Race or the Bud Shoot Out), then one winner will be drawn from all entries received to receive a 2008 Ford Fusion SE (ARV $22,000). If a car is awarded, total ARV for all prizes is $26,000. (* for the purpose of this contest, Ford drivers are as follows: David Ragan, Jamie McMurray, David Gilliland, Ricky Rudd, Robbie Gordon, Travis Kvapil, Matt Kenseth, Greg Biffle, Carl Edwards, Bill Elliott** / Marcus Ambrose** - split time. ** Neither Bill Elliot nor Marcus Ambrose will be eligible to contribute to the win total of the team if they both start the same race.)

No purchase or other consideration is necessary to enter or win the prizes. Current or former employees and agents of WSOC-TV, WAXN-TV, Cox Enterprises, Young Ford, their agents and vendors or their families are not eligible to enter or win either of the prizes in this contest. Entries open at 9:00 am on January 21, 2008. Internet entries close at 5:00pm on November 16, 2008 and mailed entries must be received by November 16, 2008. Only one entry per person per day, either by internet or mail is allowed. No photocopied or other reproduction of mailed entries will be accepted. Neither WSOC-TV or Young Ford shall be responsible or liable for computer malfunctions or electronic problems which may cause an entry not to be recorded or any mutilated, illegible or misdirected paper entries. Any misrepresentation as to a contestant’s eligibility or acts designed or intended to enhance a contestant’s chances of winning may result in a contestant’s disqualification. Contestants’ disqualification for any such actions shall be at the sole discretion of WSOC-TV whose decisions shall be final.

On or about the last Friday of each month (1/25, 2/22, 3/28, 4/25, 5/30, 6/27, 7/25, 8/29, 9/26, 10/24) WSOC-TV will draw the appropriate amount of potential winners to correspond with that months number of races (5 winners per each race) - (February – 2 races, March – 4 races, April – 3 races, May – 3 races, June – 5 races, July - 3 races, August – 5 races, September – 4 races, October – 4 races, November – 3 races). Potential winners will be selected by a random drawing from all entries for a monthly prize package. On Monday, November 17 2008, a potential Grand Prize winner will be selected by a random drawing from all entries. The prizes are not transferable, not redeemable for cash, no substitution of prizes or winners is permitted. All taxes and other expenses, including are the responsibility of the winner. This contest is void where prohibited, required to be registered or licensed by law. The odds of winning the contest depend upon the number of entries received. The chance of winning the automobile depends entirely upon the skill of the drivers in the races. The person selected as the potential winner of the contest will be called, during normal business hours at the telephone number furnished at the time of their entry in the contest, and informed of their having been selected as the potential winner. In order to receive his or her prize, the potential winner must come to the offices of WSOC-TV located at 1901 North Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC by no later than 5:00 pm on Tuesday, November 25, 2008, qualify and accept his or her prize. Monthly prize package winners will have two weeks from their contact date to pick up their prize. The winners will be required to prove their eligibility, sign a contest acknowledgment and release, necessary tax forms and related information; and shall consent to the use of his or her name, voice, likeness and picture in general advertising, public relations and promotional purposes for WSOC-TV and Young Ford without compensation. If WSOC-TV is unable to contact the potential winner by the telephone number furnished, or if the potential winner does not accept or qualify to receive the prizes as provided above, the prize will not be awarded and shall remain the property of the contest sponsors.
