Playoff Teams Highlight NFL Preseason National TV Schedule

(Sports Network) - The NFL announced its 2008 preseason schedule on Thursday and a 13-game national television slate will feature all 12 playoffs teams from last season.

It all starts with the Hall of Fame Game on Sunday, August 3 when the Indianapolis Colts and Washington Redskins meet in the traditional preseason opener in Canton, Ohio.

The Green Bay Packers and new starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers will play the Cincinnati Bengals on ESPN to highlight the first full weekend of preseason play.

Week 2's slate includes the Super Bowl champion New York Giants against the Cleveland Browns on ESPN, while the third weekend of games features the Minnesota Vikings, with NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and Pro Bowl MVP Adrian Peterson, against the Pittsburgh Steelers on CBS.

Four full weeks of preseason play will conclude on August 28 and 29.

The NFL's regular season is scheduled to kick off on Thursday, September 4 when the Giants host the Redskins.
