CONCORD, N.C. -- Carl Edwards isn't getting married but he will be popping the question at nearly 200 mph!As part of a national promotion sponsored by Harlequin and Office Depot, one lucky race fan won some advertising space on the back of NASCAR star Carl Edwards' No. 99 Office Depot race car. That space is going to be used for the kind of romance one might expect from Harlequin. It will be used for a marriage proposal.Phillip Pruzensky won the contest and said this is a dream come true."The plan was a nice dinner and the beach at sunset. This was a much better option," said PruzenskyEdwards, a bachelor himself, said he thinks the promotion is really creative on the sponsor's part. However, it doesn't make him want to settle down any time soon."Listen, I'm brave, but I don't know about marriage yet," said Edwards. The proposal will make at least 100 laps around Lowe's Motor Speedway on Saturday during the All-Star Race.Scarfe has already made her decision though. After the sign on the rear of Edwards' car was revealed, Pruzensky took one knee, held out a big diamond ring and asked Scarfe to marry him. She happily accepted."Thanks to everyone who made this happen. We'll never forget it," said Scarfe. That left Carl Edwards as the only eligible bachelor on center stage, no pressure...To see the proposal for yourself, check the sidebar of this article.
