Robyn McGlohn

Robyn McGlohn joined the Channel 9 team in March 2010, as co-anchor on Channel 9 Eyewitness News Daybreak at 5 & 6 a.m., Eyewitness News This Morning on TV 64, Weekdays from 7-9 a.m, and Eyewitness News Midday at noon Monday through Friday. Before coming to Channel 9, Robyn was an Anchor/Reporter at WAFF48 News in Huntsville, AL.

During her time working in Huntsville Robyn covered the visit of former President George Bush. She also took part in extensive weather coverage over the years, including two deadly tornados that hit Northern Alabama. Robyn won numerous awards from the Associated Press for her journalism. In 2007 she was named Best Reporter. Robyn was also awarded for Best Investigative Report, for a story that ultimately changed the way background checks are done on daycare employees, and Best Spot News in that same year. In 2008 she was named Best Anchor.

Robyn studied Broadcast Journalism and earned degrees in Telecommunication & Film and Political Science from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, AL. During her time in college, she worked at the schools TV station, WVUA-TV as reporter, and weekend anchor/producer.

Robyn loves the ocean and sun, and enjoys spending time with her family members back home in Birmingham, AL. She also loves to fly. Over the years Robyn has flown with the Blue Angels performing aerobatics in the sky, flown in a historic bi-plane, and taken a ride in a restored B-17 bomber. She has worked closely with several non-profit organizations over the years and looks forward to doing the same in Charlotte. Robyn currently lives in Charlotte.
