Sarah Rosario

Sarah Rosario joined the Eyewitness News team in June 2012.  She anchors the weekend editions of Eyewitness News Daybreak and Midday on WSOC-TV.  She also reports during the week.

Before coming to Channel 9, Sarah was an anchor/reporter at WBRZ-TV in Baton Rouge, LA.  While there she received AP Awards for best newscast and for the best public affairs story. 

Sarah also received several awards while working at KATC-TV3 in Lafayette, LA.  

During her time there she received AP Awards for story of the year and for best general news coverage.  

Sarah started her news career in the Mississippi Delta, at WABG-TV in Greenville, MS.  As a Bureau Chief, she covered news as a multi-media journalist for five counties.

Sarah has covered a variety of stories, but her favorite ones are those that initiate a positive change. Her stories have made national news including her coverage of the 2012 Democratic National Convention, the BP oil spill, its aftermath on the Gulf Coast community, and the 2008 presidential debate in Oxford, MS.

Sarah graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in Broadcast News and a minor in Political Science.

Outside of work, Sarah loves to travel and spend time with family and friends.  She runs at least three miles a day and, is a Florida Gator fan and a Tampa Bay Bucs fan.  After living in Louisiana for years, she also became a Saints fan and admits to being partial to the LSU Tigers (when they’re not playing Florida).
