Sarah Rosario joined the Eyewitness News team in July 2012.  She anchors the weekend editions of Eyewitness News at 6 & 7am and Eyewitness News Midday on WSOC-TV.  She also reports for Eyewitness News during the week.

Before coming to Channel 9, Sarah was an anchor/reporter at WBRZ-TV in Baton Rouge, LA.  While there she received an AP Award for Best Newscast(2011) as well as an AP Award for Best Public Affairs(2010).  Before working at WBRZ-TV, Sarah worked at KATC-TV3 in Lafayette, LA as a reporter and fill in anchor.  During her time at KATC she received an AP Award for Story of the year(2010) and an AP Award for General News(2009).  Sarah also worked at WABG-TV in Greenville, MS as a bureau Chief, covering news as a multi-media journalist for five different counties there.

Sarah is an award winning journalist and a self-starter.  As a reporter, her stories are always people oriented.  She’s covered major stories like the BP oil spill and its aftermath on the gulf coast community, the 2008 presidential debate in Oxford, MS, hurricanes Gustav and Ike, F5 tornadoes, and more.  Sarah graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in Broadcast News and a minor in Political Science. 

Sarah was born in New York, but grew up in Florida.  Outside of work, Sarah loves to travel and spend time with family and friends.  She runs at least three miles a day and, is a Florida Gator fan and a Tampa Bay Bucs fan.  After living in Louisiana for years, she also became a Saints fan and she admits to being partial to the LSU Tigers (when they’re not playing Florida).
