Ann Marie O'Keefe joined the Channel 9 Eyewitness News team in October, 1999. In addition to her reporting duties, Ann Marie anchors Channel 9 Eyewitness News weekends Midday and Saturday Mornings. She came to the Queen City from WRNN in the Hudson Valley where she was an anchor/reporter.

Previously, she worked as an anchor/reporter for KIDK in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She held the same position at WAER (NPR Radio). She also worked with the Media Unit, a group dedicated to teens interested in TV.

Ann Marie is a graduate of Syracuse University where she was on the Dean's list. She majored in Broadcast Journalism and minored in sociology. Ann Marie is a recipient of the Chancellor's Scholarship at Syracuse University.

Ann Marie's work has been recognized with several awards -- one from the Syracuse Press Club for a WAER mini-series covering the Pan Am Flight 103 anniversary. She also received the WAER Flying News Hawk Award for Excellence in Journalism.

Ann Marie loves to travel to Ireland where most of her family is located. Her hobbies include Irish step dancing, boating, jet skiing, and fishing. She likes to draw and study self-defense.
