Caldwell St. will be closed in Uptown Charlotte due to the Democratic National Convention. The Caldwell St. closure is split into two sections and three schedules:
- Starting at 9 a.m. on Sunday, September 2nd, Caldwell St. will be closed between 4th St. and 9th St.
- At 6 p.m., the closure will be extended, blocking traffic on Caldwell St. between Stonewall St. and 9th St.
- On Thursday, September 6th, at 9 a.m., Caldwell St. will close between Stonewall St. and 4th St.
- Caldwell St. will reopen at 9 a.m. on Friday, September 6th.
Most other nearby streets will also be closed due to the Democratic National Convention. Use Bland St. (left) to South Tryon St. (right) to 9th St. (right) as an alternate route between South End and Uptown.
