Pastor Charged With Sexual Battery Tries To Resign

Just two days after his arrest on allegations of sexual misconduct, Pastor Michael Keough was back at the King James Baptist Church.

His supporters said they had to convince him to stay.

"He was going to resign, and none of the church wants it," Associate Pastor Ronald Holcombe said. "We love him."

Keough is accused of groping five different women during the last three years.

Those accusers had come to the church's food bank for assistance.

Associate Pastor Ronald Holcombe was in middle of defending Keough against his accusers, when Keough himself came out and ended the interview.

Eyewitness News tried multiple times to get Keough's side of the story, but he declined.

"Y'all have already crucified and buried us," Keough said.

One of Keough's accusers said she was upset he spent little time in jail before bonding out on Friday.

Her worry extended to other people seeking help.

Church members say Keough helps feed more than 100 families each week.

"I worry about other women, that could be desperate, needing help," the accuser said.
