FORECAST: Hot and humid weekend with minimal rain chances

FRIDAY NIGHT: Conditions will stay quiet for the evening hours, with temperatures steadily dropping into the 60s to start the day on Saturday under a mostly clear sky.

SATURDAY: Morning fog will be present across the Carolinas to start the day, burning off by the mid-morning hours. Highs will reach the upper 80s, falling just a few degrees shy of the record. Expect a mix of sun and clouds to continue through the afternoon hours with a few pop-up showers possible.

SUNDAY: The forecast remains nearly similar for Sunday, but slightly cooler with highs in the low 80s. A mix of sun and clouds will be present through the afternoon with isolated pop-up showers possible.

LOOKING AHEAD: Expect a drop in temperatures as we start the upcoming work week. Temperatures will reach the 70s for the first week of May, with a strong cold front set to move in on Monday. Periods of heavy rain will linger through the day, clearing by Tuesday morning. Another round of rain will be possible both Thursday and Friday.
