FORECAST: Another warm day before major drop in temperatures

TUESDAY NIGHT: The strong wind felt across the High Country all day will start to ease heading into the overnight hours. Expect a clear sky overnight with temperatures dropping to near 40 degrees as you head out the door.

WEDNESDAY: Temperatures will be even warmer for the middle of the week, reaching the low 70s. Expect plenty of sunshine through the day, with a few high clouds filtering in during the evening hours.

LATER IN THE WEEK: A cold front will move in on Thursday, bringing with it the slight chance for a shower early in the morning. Although sunshine will return by the afternoon, we'll feel noticeably cooler across the Carolinas. Highs Thursday afternoon will stay in the 50s, dropping into the 40s Friday through the weekend.

Although it will be cooler, plan for plenty of sunshine both Saturday and Sunday.
