FORECAST: Warm weather to continue

MONDAY: It was a warm start to the workweek Monday in the Charlotte region.

Highs reached the low 60s during the afternoon as some clouds rolled in. Even warmer weather is expected in the days ahead.

LOOKING AHEAD: The warm weather will continue on Tuesday, and highs will reach almost 70 degrees by the afternoon hours.

There won’t be any cold blasts this week, but rain is expected.

Showers will start up Wednesday afternoon and continue into early Thursday. An inch or more of rain could fall, which would be the most the area has seen since the end of October.

Dry weather will return at the end of the week, with another round of showers possible over the weekend.

Temperatures will fluctuate between the 50s and 60s through Christmas Day.
