SATURDAY: After a very active night of severe weather across the Carolinas, conditions will be quieter Saturday. Highs will still stay above average, in the mid-90s. Factoring in the humidity, the day will feel closer to 100 degrees.
ALERT: Charlotte-Mecklenburg police ask residents to NOT call 911 to report power outages unless they are reporting downed lines or a safety hazard that needs an immediate response. Instead, residents can call Duke Energy at 1-800-POWER-ON or report it online at www.duke-energy.com.
STORM CHANCES: Storms look to stay either in the mountains or the Midlands Saturday afternoon and evening. Charlotte's rain chances are limited to 10 percent. Where storms do form, strong winds, heavy rain and lightning will be the main concerns.

SUNDAY: Storm chances look better for Sunday afternoon, though they will still be scattered. Temperatures will cool off a few degrees, topping off the lower 90s.
WORK WEEK: The week ahead stays active with storms and temperatures closer to the average. Highs will hit the lower 90s, with the highest rain chances coming in on Monday and Tuesday.
