Sun Sets: Liberty Sends Connecticut To Fourth Consecutive Loss

Uncasville, CT -- (Sports Network) - Lisa Willis scored 18 points off the bench to lead New York over the Connecticut Sun, 77-71, for the Liberty's second consecutive victory.Shameka Christon scored 16 while Cathrine Kraayeveld and Janel McCarville scored 11 and 10, respectively, for the Liberty, with both pulling down seven rebounds. Lindsay Whalen scored a game-high 19 points while Asjha Jones scored 16 and pulled down nine rebounds as Connecticut stretched its longest losing streak of the season to four games. Jamie Carey donated a career-high 18 points off the bench. It marks the first time in 11 games that the Liberty have won consecutive games while the Sun has lost five of their last six.
