Milton-Jones Helps Sparks Clinch Playoff Spot

(Sports Network) - DeLisha Milton-Jones had 16 points and seven rebounds to help the Los Angeles Sparks clinch a playoff spot with an 84-66 victory over the Houston Comets at Reliant Arena,

Candace Parker had 12 points and six boards while Lisa Leslie added 11 points and five rebounds for the Sparks, who have won four of five since the Olympic break.

Tina Thompson had a game-high 18 points, but committed eight turnovers while Shannon Johnson added 11 points and seven rebounds for the Comets, who have lost their last four games.

Houston is in a sixth-place tie with defending champion Phoenix, two games behind Sacramento for the fourth and final playoff spot.
