Bird And Storm Slip By Lynx

(Sports Network) - Sue Bird had 23 points and four assists to help the Seattle Storm to a 96-88 win over the Minnesota Lynx and sole possession of first place in the Western Conference.

Tanisha Wright had 17 points, six rebounds and six helpers while Swin Cash added 17 points and six boards for the Storm, who have won three straight and now hold a half-game lead over San Antonio for first place in the Western Conference.

Seimone Augustus had a game-high 26 points while Anna DeForge added 17 points for the Lynx, who have dropped their past three contests.
