Katie Douglas scored a game-high 18 points and Wendy Palmer added 16 with seven rebounds to lead the Connecticut Sun to a 68-64 victory over the Seattle Storm in Game 1 of the WNBA Finals at the Mohegan Sun Arena.

NyKesha Sales pulled down a game-high nine rebounds to go along with seven points in the win. Lindsay Whalen contributed for Connecticut with 11 points and a game-high nine assists.

Betty Lennox led Seattle with 17 points and eight rebounds, while Lauren Jackson had 16 in a losing effort.

Game 2 is Sunday night in Seattle.
