SPONSORED: Make it to a million miles with a Toyota Highlander: Storytime

Million mile Highlander

There’s the Million Mile Tundra…but now there’s the Million Mile Toyota Highlander. The 2006 model is owned by a Bonita Springs, Florida resident named Mark Miller. Last year, Mark Miller celebrated the million-mile mark, but there’s a plot twist. Our N Charlotte Toyota dealership is going to tell you everything.

A Toyota Highlander Hybrid hitting one-million miles…How?

Mark Miller drove across Alligator Alley, which is a stretch of I-75 in the Florida Everglades, for work and it stacked up to over a million miles on his 2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. Mark described his Charlotte SUV as a “workhorse” because he used it for all things work-related – from towing trailers for his asphalt paving business to using it as a mobile office for work on the go. From the man himself, Mark Miller said he’s taken around 8,000 trips across I-75 in his Toyota. Mark gave the secret to his million miles, which is having routine maintenance and a reliable mechanic.

We have bad news and then great news. So, the next milestone would’ve probably happened to the million-mile Toyota Highlander, but unfortunately, Hurricane Ian intervened. If you live in Florida, you know how disastrous Hurricane Ian was in 2022. Especially in Miller’s west-coast residency, Bonita Springs, there was a destructive amount of storm surge, and the Toyota Highlander was destroyed in the flood.

The anticipation is rising – here’s the great news: Toyota stepped in. Miller had plans to get another Toyota Highlander Hybrid as he missed his Toyota and its comfortable reliability. Toyota took it upon themselves to thank him for his loyalty and gifted Miller a new 2023 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Bronze Edition so he could get back to business.

The 2023 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Bronze Edition

Miller looks so happy with his new Toyota – after all, the 2023 Toyota Highlander Hybrid is a fan favorite. Here are some of the features we love about it:

  • Drive Mode Select with Sport, Eco, Normal, and EV modes
  • A backup camera with a projected path
  • A Blind-Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert
  • LED headlights, taillights, and Daytime Running Lights
  • Connected services including Remote Connect, Service Connect, Drive Connect, Safety Connect, and Wi-Fi Connect
  • Three-zone automatic climate control
  • A height-adjustable hands-free power liftgate
  • Toyota Safety Sense 2.5
  • 35 mpg fuel efficiency
  • Qi wireless charging for devices
  • SofTex-trimmed seating for seven with second-row captain’s chairs
  • 18-in. bronze-finish alloy wheels

Not to mention a unique appearance. Miller’s 2023 Toyota Highlander Hybrid comes in a Cement paint color (fitting for someone who owns an asphalt business) and has unique bronze wheels and accents that make it stand out on the road.
