Erin Edwards joined the Channel 9 Eyewitness News team in July 2019 and is thrilled to be in the Queen City.
Erin comes to Charlotte from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where she was a multi-media journalist. While on the Grand Strand, Erin covered several big stories, including Hurricane Florence and the shooting of seven law enforcement officers in Florence County.
Before heading south, Erin lived in Boston, Massachusetts, where she worked as a writer for WHDH, a job she says reinforced her decision to pursue a career in journalism. Erin also worked as a host for New England Sports Network’s Dirty Water TV.
A native New Englander, Erin was born and raised in Litchfield County, Connecticut, and graduated from Fisher College in Boston. After battling through brutal winters, she’s excited to get to warmer weather.
Erin enjoys exploring new places and is eager to see all Charlotte has to offer. Have a story idea? Want to say hi? Email Erin at Erin.Edwards@WSOC-TV.com or find her on Facebook and Twitter.
