9 Food Drive

Carolina pantries, shelters have critical need for donations

In response to the coronavirus crisis, WSOC-TV is holding a virtual “9 Food Drive” to help Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina provide meals to those in need.

Funds raised will be used to purchase healthy shelf-stable items for food boxes. These boxes will help feed families whose children are missing school meals, seniors being asked to stay safely in their homes, those in need of food who are quarantined and employees in our community being impacted by decreases in work hours.

The WSOC-TV 9 Food Drive, benefiting #shmetrolina, comes at an especially critical time as area emergency pantries...

Care to Share Outreach Center

The Care to Share Outreach Center provides food, clothing and personal hygiene items to low-income individuals, families and pet owners.

Loaves and Fishes

Provides a week's worth of food to individuals and families in a short-term food crisis in Mecklenburg County.

Charlotte Rescue Mission

Provides residential recovery programs that help men and women struggling with addiction achieve long-term sobriety.

Urban Ministry Center

Provides food, shelter and program services for the Charlotte homeless population.

The Relatives

Provides a system of resources that helps children and youth find shelter and support.
