Free food distribution Wednesday

In an effort to help combat food insecurity in the area, Hickory Grove Baptist Church, Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department are partnering for a pop-up food share on Wednesday to distribute fresh meats, produce, fruits, vegetables and baked goods to neighbors in need.

The distribution will take place Wednesday, Dec. 30 beginning at 1 p.m. until all food is distributed at 801 East Arrowood Road in Charlotte.

This will be a drive-up food distribution and volunteers will place food items in vehicles.
