In an effort to help combat food insecurity in our area, Loaves & Fishes and Northside Baptist Church are partnering for a pop up food share to distribute fresh produce, dairy and meat to local neighbors in need.
“We have seen the great need in our community during the coronavirus pandemic,” said Veronica Washington, community outreach coordinator at Northside Baptist Church. “We hope this can help the burden so many families have right now when they have to decide on how to pay their bills or feed their family.”
The distribution will take place on Friday, March 26 from 10:30 -11:30 a.m. at Northside Baptist Church, 333 Jeremiah Blvd., Charlotte.
This isn’t the only way the church has been caring for those in need during the crisis. It worked with the organization Community Hub, which delivered tens of thousands of meals since the COVID-19 crisis began.
Loaves & Fishes is a network of emergency food pantries in Mecklenburg County that provides nutritionally balanced groceries to neighbors in need.
