In an effort to help combat food insecurity in our area, Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department and Northside Baptist Church are partnering for a pop up food share to distribute fresh produce, dairy and meat to local neighbors in need.
“We have seen the great need in our community,” said Veronica Washington, community outreach coordinator at Northside Baptist Church. “We hope this can help the burden so many families have right now when they have to decide on how to pay their bills or feed their family.”
The distribution will take place today, Dec. 29 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church, 333 Jeremiah Blvd., Charlotte.
