Union County free food distribution

Each Tuesday from beginning March 2 through March 23

In an effort to help combat food insecurity in our area, Produce Alliance and Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church are partnering for a pop up initiative to distribute fresh produce, dairy and precooked protein to local neighbors in need.

Approximately 1,100 boxes of food will be given to Union County families in need each Tuesday from beginning March 2 through March 23 at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church.

4,400 food boxes have been donated by Produce Alliance and will be distributed by Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church in the church parking lot at 503 Maurice Street, Monroe each of the next four Tuesdays from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Some Union County employees will assist with the distribution effort.

Any individual or family in need is welcome to drive through and receive a box of food. No advance registration is needed.

Additionally, Resourceful Clinical Laboratories will be at the church to offer free drive-thru testing for COVID-19 on March 2.
