Finding a size 16 men’s shoe is kind of like finding an expensive needle in a haystack.  Charlotte Hornet Cody Zeller knows all about it.

That’s why he is stepping in to help.

Zeller is generously donating 200 pairs of size 16 athletic shoes to Samaritan’s Feet. Anyone in the Charlotte area who needs size 16 shoes can register for a free pair.

“I can’t even image being a kid wearing a size 16.  Where does your parent find those shoes, even if you can afford them?” Manny Ohonme, co-founder of Samaritan’s Feet, said.

“A men’s size 16 shoe can often be difficult to find and expensive, so Samaritan’s Feet hopes this gift will help youth and families who are in need.”

Potential recipients can register for their shoes at SamaritansFeet.org/Cody. An event will be held with Cody Zeller in late June or early July to distribute the shoes to the recipients.

This is a first-come, first-served event, so the first 200 who register will be eligible to receive the shoes. The shoe distribution is one of many that Samaritan’s Feet will host this year around the world as it strives to serve 1 million people in 2019 as part of its Million Shoes campaign (www.MillionShoes.org).

So far in 2019, Samaritan’s Feet has distributed over 210,000 pairs of shoes across the United States and around the world.

Samaritan’s Feet is a humanitarian aid organization that serves and inspires hope in children by providing shoes as the foundation to a spiritual and healthy life resulting in the advancement of education and economic opportunities.

Over 1.5 billion people are infected with diseases that are transmitted through contaminated soil, according to the World Health Organization. The goal of Samaritan’s Feet is to create a world with zero shoeless children.

Since its founding by Manny and Tracie Ohonme in 2003, Samaritan’s Feet and its partners have served more than 7 million people in 108 nations and 389 U.S. cities. For more information about Samaritan’s Feet International, visit www.SamaritansFeet.org.
