Avril Lavigne announces 'Head Above Water Tour'

Avril Lavigne has announced the Head Above Water Tour, her first in five years.

Avril Lavigne is going on her first tour in five years in support of her sixth studio album.

Alt Press reported that the pop-punk singer-songwriter, who released "Head Above Water" in February, announced the news in a tweet.

"I'm so excited to be announcing the 'Head Above Water Tour,'" Lavigne said in a video posted Monday. "It's finally here."

The 15-date tour starts September 14 in Seattle and has one stop in Lavigne's native Canada. Fans can go to the singer's official website to get pre-sale tickets. General admission tickets go on sale on Friday at 10 a.m. on AvrilLavigne.com.
