The Charlotte Checkers, the reigning Calder Cup champions, are back in action for the 2019-20 season. The team will host its first two home games against Bridgeport on Friday and Saturday at Bojangles’ Coliseum.

To kick off the new season at home, a championship banner raising ceremony will take before Friday’s game.
The ceremony will start at 6:30 p.m. with a video tribute to the team’s first American Hockey League championship.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and the first 2,500 fans to arrive will receive a free replica mini championship banner.
The game will begin at 7 p.m.

Following the ceremony, the Calder Cup trophy will be on display in the coliseum’s Red Line Club restaurant throughout the night.
Tickets start at $18.50 and are available through Ticketmaster and the Bojangles’ Coliseum box office.
