‘Downton Abbey’ comes to life at Biltmore

If the "Downton Abbey" movie left you wanting more of the Crawleys, you're in luck: The Biltmore in Asheville is hosting a traveling exhibition that's dedicated to the show.

“Downton Abbey: The Exhibition” features a display of costumes, props, jewelry, set recreations, videos and virtual characters from the show.

Offering a glimpse into the glamour of the Gilded Age, Biltmore will provide the perfect setting for the traveling exhibition.

"There are many parallels between 'Downton Abbey' and Biltmore's real-life story of the Vanderbilt family, their friends and staff," said Biltmore's director of entertainment and event programming Travis Tatham.

The exhibition will be showcased in two locations at the estate.

At Biltmore's Amherst, never-before-seen multimedia elements and the series' most recognizable sets and artifacts will immerse visitors in the social history and culture of the era and memorable moments from the show.

At Biltmore Legacy, fans can get an up-close look at more than 50 of the show's costumes that were worn by their favorite actors including Michelle Dockery, Hugh Bonneville and Dame Maggie Smith.

"Downton Abbey: The Exhibition" will be on display at Biltmore through April 7, 2020.
