Celebrate Labor Day with a parade, live music, games, rides and more at Matthews Alive, a holiday weekend tradition in the Charlotte area.
>> Where you can pick your own apples
The festival takes place Aug. 30 through Sept. 2 at the corner of John and Trade streets in historic downtown Matthews.
The parade kicks off at 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning and brings to life the emotion and imagery you’d find in a Norman Rockwell painting.
Admission to the festival is free; tickets are sold on-site for rides and games.
For more information on the festival, visit matthewsalive.org.
