Spend the day with dad at Olde Mecklenburg Brewery where they’ll have a special menu for Father’s Day on Saturday and Sunday. Selections Saturday include a roasted rack of pork and a double cheeseburger. Sunday’s brunch menu features prime rib, smoked salmon and New England Benedict with buttered Maine lobster. Take dad to the ballpark! The Charlotte Knights won’t be playing but families can play catch on the field, run the bases and enjoy brunch Sunday. Take a hike, but not just any hike – check out Chimney Rock at night. The park will host a guided “Nature at Night” hike from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday. Enjoy a guided flatwater paddle at sunset – choose between a flatwater kayak or stand-up paddleboard – on the Catawba River followed by chef-curated fireside dinner at the U.S. National Whitewater Center.
