CHARLOTTE, N.C.,None — A woman has been charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle after a car accident left one person on a moped dead on Park Road Wednesday night.
According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, Lauren Martindale was trying to turn left from Park Road on to Hampton Gardens Lane. Police said she made the turn in front of a man on a moped who tried to stop but lost control of his vehicle and slid into oncoming traffic.
Medic responded to the accident but pronounced the man dead at the scene of the accident.
Martindale was also charged with failure to yield, police said.
