15 Topless Dancers Facing Exposure Charges

CHARLOTTE, N.C.,None — Six women have been arrested and authorities said they are searching for 9 others as part of an investigation of indecent exposure at eight strip clubs in Mecklenburg County.

Mecklenburg County Alcohol Beverage Control Commission officials and officers from the Pineville Police Department completed the undercover compliance investigation over a six-month period. It included Crazy Horse, the Paper Doll Lounge, Gentlemen's Club, Gold Club, Uptown Cabaret, Leather & Lace South, Leather & Lace North and Baby Dolls.

ABC officials said the topless dancers are charged with violating a state law that prohibits them from performing nude.

Six women have been arrested and charged with indecent exposure: Christina Pierce, from the Gentleman's Club, Brittney Delcont, from the Paper Doll Lounge, Jessica Smith, from the Paper Doll Lounge, Amanda Ammon, from Crazy Horse, Rebecca Kirkpatrick, from Crazy Horse, and Robin Brown from Baby Dolls.

There are outstanding arrest warrants for 9 other women facing indecent exposure charges.

Michael Crowley from the Mecklenburg ABC Commission said the women removed all of their clothes during table dances on the main floor and in semi-private areas, roped off for customers who pay extra for special dances. State law prohibits them from removing their bottoms.

The clubs could face disciplinary action by the state ABC Commission, which controls licensing for businesses that sell alcohol.
