ABC board teams up with EpiCentre to offer cab vouchers

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Mecklenburg County's ABC board has a new plan for getting you home safe during the holidays.

The ABC teamed up with three cab companies and the EpiCentre complex uptown.

Together, they're offering $10 vouchers to people who had too much to drink.

“What we want people to do is think about how you'll get home safely before you begin drinking and let the professionals do the driving,” said Mary Ward with the Mecklenburg County ABC board.

The ABC board said if the program works this year, it will look at offering it again next year.
