Another cold day ahead before warm up moves in

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Queen City will get to enjoy clear, sunny skies Wednesday, but not much warmth.

High temperatures will barely reach near 50 degrees Wednesday afternoon (the average for this time of year is 66).

The Metro area will have to go through one more cold night before bouncing back Thursday.

Temperatures will climb into the 60s and 70s over the next few days and the next shot at rain will arrive Friday and Saturday -- there could even be some thunder by Saturday afternoon.
